To start the month we had an awesome time at Sail Country, loving a bit of lake sailing, and just enjoying the weekend away. Day 1 went really well....
Getting back home we didn't waste anytime, with 2 training sessions before the weekend! Soph then developed some great new skills and soaked up the knowledge of Olympian, Laura Coldecoat, at the coached Sarah Blank Regatta, trying out the laser for the first time, experiencing 25knts off Westernport!
Training on and off the water this month, we've gone really hard, and enjoyed having Bunny back for the past few weeks to keep pushing us. We also had a Vic 420 class coaching weekend at BYS last weekend, and it was great to have 8 boats to train against, while we experimented with new starting techniques.
In addition to this, Go for Gold went well at Black Rock, and we finished 2nd overall to Nick and James, getting a bullet on the 2nd day of racing. It's great to see our racing skills keep improving, and our training paying off. With Sail Melbourne coming up and Sail Sydney our last regatta before Nationals, we're keeping up the training and fitness, and can't wait to give it our best shot for Nationals and Youths.
That's it for now!!
